Very unreasonable and unfair DPE, he is an owner of a flight school at farmingdale NY, Long Island Aviators. I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the process. It is disheartening to witness what appears to be a conflict of interest, as the DPE also happens to be an owner of the flight school. I encountered several issues that hindered the fairness and transparency of the examination process. Despite thorough preparation and utilizing the flight school''s services, I felt that the odds were unfairly shifted in their favor. This dual role as both a DPE and an owner raises concerns about objectivity and impartiality. Specifically, I observed incidents during the examination that left me questioning the integrity of the evaluation. It is crucial for aspiring pilots to have confidence in the certification process, and unfortunately, my experience has shaken that confidence. As a consumer seeking a fair assessment of my skills, I believe it is essential to address this potential conflict of interest to ensure a level playing field for all candidates. In light of this experience, I suggest implementing stricter regulations to prevent DPEs from owning flight schools. This would help maintain the integrity of the examination process and ensure unbiased evaluations. I urge others to share their experiences and join the conversation, as it is through collective feedback that positive change can be achieved. It is my sincere hope that this review prompts a reevaluation of the current system and encourages constructive dialogue among aviation authorities, flight schools, and DPEs.
