Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 2026-07-14
1. Introduction
AME Foresight ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website ameforesight.com and use our services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Email address (when you create an account)
- Screen name (when you create an account)
- Account credentials (password - stored securely)
- Ratings and PIREPs you submit for AMEs and DPEs
- IP address and browser user-agent when you create or sign in to an account or submit ratings and PIREPs, to prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Contact form submissions (name, email, subject, and message)
- Appointment or checkride requests, including contact details, scheduling selections, and optional scheduling notes
- Profile-claim information and any Enhanced Profile content you submit, such as business links, photos, services, pricing, availability, and office details
2.2 FAA Public Data
We display publicly available FAA data for AMEs and DPEs, including:
- Professional names and designee numbers
- Office addresses and contact information
- Professional qualifications and certifications
- This information is sourced from the FAA's public database
2.3 Limited Technical Information
We collect minimal technical information necessary for the website to function, such as session data for maintaining your login status and limited first-party traffic measurement used to estimate visitors, 30-minute browsing sessions, page views, AME/DPE profile interest, and interactions with marketing shown on AME Foresight. Traffic identifiers are hashed or otherwise pseudonymized before storage, but they may still be treated as personal information under applicable law. We may compare these measurements with aggregate request analytics provided by Cloudflare as our content-delivery and security provider, but we do not use cross-site advertising profiles or ad tracking.
2.4 Payment and Verification Services
If you purchase Enhanced Profile access, billing and payment processing are handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We may receive limited subscription metadata from those providers, such as customer identifiers, subscription status, billing interval, and renewal timing. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our AME and DPE directory service
- Process your account registration and manage your account
- Enable you to submit and display ratings and PIREPs
- Prevent abuse, multiple submissions, and unauthorized account access using IP addresses and related technical signals
- Respond to your contact form submissions
- Route appointment or checkride requests to the examiner or office you selected
- Maintain the security and functionality of our website
- Measure aggregate site traffic and profile interest using hashed or pseudonymous technical signals
- Verify examiner profile claims and operate optional Enhanced Profile subscriptions
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We share information only as follows:
- Public Content: Ratings and PIREPs you submit are publicly visible; we do not publicly display your email address or technical submission identifiers with them
- FAA Data: AME and DPE profile information from the FAA is publicly displayed
- Examiner Content: Public review responses from Claimed Profile owners and supplemental owner-managed content while Enhanced Profile access is active
- Scheduling Requests: With the AME, DPE, or examiner office you select so they can respond to your request
- Service Providers: With essential service providers (e.g., hosting, email delivery, payment processing)
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or valid legal requests
- Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, safety, or property
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. Online Tracking and Do Not Track
AME Foresight does not use third-party advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Third-party service providers may process limited information on our behalf for hosting, security, email delivery, and payment processing. External websites and hosted checkout pages operate under their own privacy practices.
Because there is not a single, consistently implemented browser Do Not Track standard, our website does not currently change its first-party functionality in response to a Do Not Track header. We will honor legally recognized universal opt-out preference signals where they apply to our practices. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Secure password hashing using Argon2 or a comparable password-hashing method
- SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission
- Secure hosting infrastructure
- Regular security updates
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We use category-specific retention periods and may retain information longer when reasonably necessary for an active dispute, fraud or security investigation, legal hold, tax requirement, or other legal obligation. Hashed or pseudonymous traffic, campaign, and profile-interaction records are normally retained for no more than 24 months before deletion or aggregation. Account security events and appointment or checkride requests are also normally retained for no more than 24 months.
Account and subscription records are retained while the account or subscription is active and afterward as needed for security, tax, billing, and legal obligations. Ratings and PIREPs, along with associated anti-abuse evidence such as IP address, browser user-agent, and anonymous submission identifiers, may be retained while the content remains part of the service and for related dispute, fraud-prevention, or legal needs. Where a review is hidden following a dispute, we generally retain the underlying record internally rather than deleting it. See our Review Disputes & Content Removal page for details.
If Enhanced Profile access expires or is canceled, submitted photos, biographies, links, office details, services, pricing, and availability may remain stored for later reactivation, but they are not publicly displayed while Enhanced access is inactive. Claimed Profile ownership records and public review responses may remain available unless the claim is revoked or the information is deleted as required by applicable law.
A minimal suppression record may be retained as long as needed to honor an email opt-out. Verified deletion requests may require earlier deletion under applicable law. AME scheduling requests are also governed by our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access to your personal information
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion of your personal information
- Restriction of processing
- Data portability
- Objection to processing
- Withdrawal of consent

9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for pilots and aviation professionals and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
