Baseline Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This notice covers consumer health data handled by Baseline, the consumer tracking app offered by AME Foresight LLC. It is separate from our aviation website notices and supplements the Baseline Privacy Policy.

Categories, sources and purposes

Baseline handles the health and fitness information you enter or authorize from Apple Health: activity, sleep, body measurements, nutrition, vital signs, medications, symptoms, labs and written study reports. These records support the tracking, trends, reminders, transcription and nutrition features you request and are stored on your device. The app does not separately upload your Apple Health history, profile or saved records with an AI request.

If you choose AI processing and give permission, selected photos, report pages and text can include names, dates of birth, identifiers, diagnoses, laboratory values, medication information and other health details. The source is the material you select. OpenAI returns extracted report information or food estimates, which may be health-related inferences. We use those results only to provide your requested feature. Baseline AI routes the selected content through our service; our application does not persist that content or the results. The personal-key option sends content directly to OpenAI.

Purchase and usage metadata comes from your app, Apple-signed purchase proofs and processing usage. It includes a pseudonymous account identifier, consent, allowance and purchase records, token counts and estimated costs. We use it for access, billing, support, duplicate prevention and security. Network providers process connection metadata such as IP addresses for delivery and security. We do not use these records to infer medical conditions.

Recipients and sharing

With your permission, OpenAI processes selected AI uploads and returns the result. DigitalOcean provides application/database hosting and Cloudflare provides network delivery/security for the Baseline service. OpenAI's search providers process public food and product search terms when you enable food web search. Apple handles authorized Health integration, app/purchase verification and payments; USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts receive the food searches or barcodes you request. We do not share Baseline consumer health data with affiliates for their own use, advertising networks or data brokers, and we do not sell it or use it for targeted advertising. You choose whether to share exported records with anyone else.

OpenAI does not train on API content by default. Standard abuse-monitoring retention can be up to 30 days, with legal and safety exceptions. We do not promise zero retention by all providers. Service metadata retention and device/export controls are described in the Baseline Privacy Policy.

Consent and your rights

AI processing is optional. Before an upload, choose a provider and expressly allow selected uploads in onboarding or Settings → AI scans & privacy. Changing provider requires new permission. You can turn AI off or withdraw permission at any time without losing free tracking or your saved records. You separately choose whether to enable food web search. Withdrawal stops future requests and cannot recall completed processing.

You can access, correct, delete and export your local records in Baseline. For confirmation of collection/sharing, access to service-held data, withdrawal, deletion (including requests to applicable processors/recipients), or an appeal of a decision, email [email protected]. Do not send medical records or API keys. We verify control proportionately, for example with Apple-verified access information, and respond within applicable legal deadlines. We will explain any lawful exception and how to appeal. If an appeal is denied, Washington consumers may complain at https://www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint. Other applicable state privacy rights remain available.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Deleting the app does not remove Apple Health records, exported copies or provider-retained content; contact us for help with service-side requests. AME Foresight LLC can be reached at [email protected].
