Bradley John Sullivan

Alright, I am a nearby CFI who has sent only one private pilot applicant to this DPE. I have since heard of another private pilot applicant who had a similar experience with this examiner which is why I write this review. Mr. Sullivan has shown me through his interactions with applicants that his one and only goal is to extract as much money out of each applicant as possible. He is the previous owner of Colorado Flight School in Grand Junction and has a handshake agreement with the current management of the company to do all of the checkrides for the students coming through that program. I am not affiliated with that program. When I sent my student there for his private pilot checkride he was charged $1000. He was failed because of a discrepancy in the aircraft logbooks. The aircraft was owned by my student. An A&P IA signed off the annual inspection weeks prior. The retest fee was a full $1000. Recently a private pilot applicant completed the oral portion of his exam. Discontinued the exam because of weather. And only then was told that a "weather rescheduling fee" was $650. Bringing his total checkride to $1650 for a PRIVATE PILOTS LICENSE. A discontinuance is not a failure. This DPE is abusing his position to extract obscene amounts of money, Cash only, from applicants.
